As already announced, many participants were not able to complete the challenging task for the weather today. In the standard class, 6 pilots managed to complete the task. The fastest was Valentin Leleu-Lambour (ZT) from France on LS8 with almost 93 km/h. In the 15m class, 7 pilots received a time score. The day's winner was Timothy Scott (Z3) from Great Britain with 80.5 km/h, flown with a 15m variant of the ASG29. (left picture) In the 18m class, 4 of the 37 participants managed to complete the task. Third place went to Christian Maex from LSC Burg Feuerstein. He flew the almost 300km with 80.5 km/h on an "AS 33 Es" with matching competition registration "MÄX". (Photo right) The winner was probably Wolfgang Janowitsch from Austria, second one Bert Schmelzer from Belgium. The open class is still being evaluated. According to the current status, none of the pilots managed to fly the task. Currently, the English are in the lead in the kilometre ranking. The two-seater class also had to cancel completely due to the weather. The longest distance was flown by Team Norbert Sommer on Arcus M with 253km. The ranking is still provisional, as not all flight data could be read out yet. Changes are possible. Unfortunately, most of those who flew pure gliders without auxiliary engines had to land outside. We wish the pilots and their crews a quick and successful recovery. |
